The Build Up To Build Conference 2010

Yesterday Andy McMillan, founder of Build conference, announced the line-up for this years conference.

The incredible thing about Build is the fact that it is only entering it’s second year and it’s managing to bring in such a high calibre of speaker. It really is incredible. Last years line-up included people like Eric Meyer, Wilson Miner, Mark Boulton and Ryan Sims and it left me wondering how this years fesitval was going to shape up. If I’m being honest, I had my doubts as I really didn’t think anything would be able to come close but I’m glad that I’m now eating my words.

This year, if you manage to grab a ticket you will be listening to; Dan Cederholm, Meagan Fisher, Liz Danzico, Frank Chimero, Tim Brown, Keegan Jones and Tim Van Damme.

Of that list there are two people in particular that I’d pay the ticket money alone for. Dan Cederholm was the man who got me into web design. His Bulletproof web design book was the first book I ever bought and one that has very dog eared pages from being picked up and flicked through so much. The other speaker who I’m really looking forward to hearing is Frank Chimero, his own personal website is stunning and it is something that I try to aim for, his style is absolutely gorgeous.

Just like last year I’m already throughly excited and counting down the days until I’m back in the beautiful city of Belfast.

Tickets go on sale Friday 4th June, 9am.

    I think the Lift crew are quite keen to go so I’m looking forward to it if we can book it in! Since you’ve been before you can be our tour guide ;)

    I’ll be there this year! I haven’t been to many of these events, so I actually don’t know anyone going yet, but I’m sure I’ll meet a few along the way! :-)

    We’re looking forward to welcoming you back. I’m organising a number of Standardistas’ Build fringe events with Nicklas. We’ll fill you in when we meet you for that pint.

    @Mike Though I’m sure Jack would make the perfect tour guide, for me, one of the nicest things about last year’s conference was the way in which the Belfast Brigade teamed up with visitors to ensure everyone was made to feel welcome. There was a real feeling of camaraderie amongst everyone, with lots of tour guides to go around. I’m sure this year will be no different.
